Every month Dino’s Storage holds auctions at various locations to sell the contents of unpaid storage units. Below you will find the rules and procedures of the auctions. These sales serve four purposes:
- The unit is vacated so Dino’s can rent it to someone who will pay.
- The winning bid amount is put towards the delinquent customer’s balance due, lessening the amount to be paid for collections.
- Dino’s Storage is able to recoup some of its losses.
- The customer is given the opportunity to buy back their items, potentially.
PROCEDURES OF THE LIEN SALE
- Bidders sign in at the office prior to the start of the sale. An admission fee of $5 per person is due at the time of sign-in. Each person receives an auction ticket and must show this to a Dino’s Storage employee before entering the property for the sale.
- Sales begin promptly at their designated time so as not to delay the proceeding sale at the next property.
- No bidders are allowed to sign in and participate after the scheduled time.
- Property manager leads everyone to unit and opens the door. No bidders are allowed inside the unit or to touch the contents.
- Bidder is given a temporary code to the gate and must remove all contents of the unit within 48 hours.
- Payment must be made in the form of debit or credit card at the time of sale. No cash!
RULES OF DINO'S STORAGE AUCTIONS:
- Dino’s Storage may place minimum bids.
- The delinquent customer or their family or friends may bid on the unit.
- Units sell as one whole unit. Items are not individually sold.
- Buyer must remove all contents within 48 hours. A buyer who fails to empty the entire unit will not be allowed to participate in any future auctions at Dino’s Storage.
- If the buyer needs more time to remove the contents, they must sign a storage rental agreement and pay for the cost of storage.
- No further information regarding the condition, quantity, model number, photos, etc., will be given. All information will be published on Craigslist. Search for the keyword “Dino’s Storage.”
DISCLAIMER:
Not all locations have sales every month. To find out who is having a sale, please look at our advertisements on Craigslist.net and Facebook. The delinquent tenant can pay their bill up to the time of the sale, so last minute payments may cancel items for sale at an auction or entire auctions altogether. All sales are final. All items are sold as is. No returns or refunds. Most sales are held the last Friday of the month but are subject to change.
